We are engaged by the Foundation for Sustainable Indigenous Housing to design this house for the Broome WA area.

​

It is designed as a series of rooms placed around a central open courtyard. This is responding to the climate in Broome where cross ventilation is the key aspect to achieve thermal comfort. The series of rooms also allows a degree of communal living while maintaining own spaces for smaller units of family. 

​

The construction is proposed to be modular transportable to better capitalise on the shorter on-site time.
