Rockingham Extension

The clients for this project are a couple whose family has grown over the years and wished to extend their holiday home to accommodate large family gatherings. It was decided that a sleep-out would be a good solution to increase the number of beds whilst providing some separation between children and adults. The addition of a bathroom in the sleep-out made it completely independent.

Part of the extension also included the design of an outdoor living area to fit all the members of the family, a new carport and a separate entrance leading to the new sleep-out. As the designed progressed, timber porticoes started to frame these spaces, providing structural support but also becoming a linking element.
